How to Log a Harvest or Species Entry

Entries are how you build progress toward challenges. You can submit a harvest (hunting) or a species sighting/photo (photography), depending on the challenge you’re working on.

Step 1: Log in

Log in first at /login. Submissions require an active member session.

Step 2: Open the Submission page

Use the main navigation item Submission (or go directly if you have the link). If you are not logged in, you will be redirected to Login.

Step 3: Create a new entry

1. Select the appropriate challenge or category (Hunting Slam, Photo Slam, Circuit, etc.).
2. Choose the species (or location, if submitting for the Circuit).
3. Add the date and location details for the entry.
4. Upload clear photo evidence that supports the species/location claim.
5. Add notes (optional) such as habitat, gear used, conditions, or story.
6. Submit the entry.

Best practices for faster verification

• Use bright, clear images where the key ID features of the species are visible.
• Include context (background/habitat) when possible.
• For location-based entries, include supporting details (landmarks, signage, or device location info when available).

What happens next

Your entry may be reviewed for accuracy and challenge eligibility. Once accepted, it will count toward your challenge progress.
